McLaughlin set to promote Dior's La Collection Privée fragrance collection
Caleb McLaughlin, known for his role in "Stranger Things," has become the latest Gen Z star to become a Dior Beauty ambassador. As the new face of the French label, he will be supporting the La Collection Privée fragrance line. Dior stated that McLaughlin will "celebrate the iconic heritage of Dior and support Dior Beauty in the fragrance category." This move is part of Dior's shift to targeting younger consumers, with Haerin, a South Korean pop star, being named a global ambassador for jewelry, fashion, and beauty last week.
In addition to his acting skills, Dior cites McLaughlin's commitment to philanthropy as a reason for his selection. He has founded his own nonprofit foundation, Toa Foundation Inc., which supports personal and mental development globally through performing arts and financial literacy. He is also an active member of the Jr. NBA Leadership Council, which works to support and improve the youth basketball experience for young players across the country.
McLaughlin's ambassadorship for La Collection Privée's hero, Gris Dior, puts him in good company with other ambassadors, including Jenna Ortega, Thuso Mbedu, Fai Khadra, Liu Yuxin, Maya Hawke, and Joseph Quinn.
Although the final season of "Stranger Things" has been delayed due to the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike, McLaughlin will still be seen in Peacock's upcoming movie about LeBron James' high school basketball career, "Shooting Stars."
