Mr Eazi and Temi Otedola’s wedding was a global celebration of love, culture, and style
After months of quiet speculation, Mr Eazi and Temi Otedola have finally shared an intimate look into their wedding celebrations, and it’s every bit as spectacular as fans imagined.
The couple, who first met in London back in 2017 and got engaged during a dreamy Venetian proposal in 2022 on the set of Mr Eazi’s Legalise video, tied the knot quietly months ago. But in true Temi-and-Eazi fashion, this wasn’t just one wedding. It was three carefully curated celebrations, held across three countries, each one designed to honour their love, their families, and their culture.
From a serene civil ceremony in Monaco to a grand Yoruba traditional wedding in Dubai, and finally, a cinematic white wedding set against Iceland’s breathtaking landscapes, the newly released Vogue Weddings photos take us inside every detail and every moment, where every aspect was just as intentional as it was beautiful.
The first chapter of their wedding story unfolded in Monaco on May 9, a date chosen to honour Mr Eazi’s late mother’s birthday. The ceremony at Mairie de Monaco was an intimate affair, just the two of them, with two witnesses and no fanfare. Temi had told Vogue that she had always envisioned a getaway wedding, and they did just that.
Temi wore a custom Wiederhoeft suit paired with delicate Briony Raymond jewelry, while Eazi looked sharp in Louis Vuitton. After exchanging vows, the couple celebrated with champagne at Karl Lagerfeld’s iconic Villa La Vigie, where Temi later changed into a playful Christopher John Rogers polka-dot dress for a private toast.
Two months later, the couple gathered family and friends at the Otedola family home in Dubai for a vibrant Yoruba traditional wedding that celebrated love, culture, and heritage in grand style.
Temi’s bridal wardrobe was a fashion collector’s dream, featuring bespoke pieces from Zac Posen, Miss Sohee, Lisa Folawiyo, and Oscar de la Renta, a flawless fusion of Nigerian tradition and high-fashion artistry. Eazi, styled by Jason Rembert, arrived in a Lisa Folawiyo Studio custom look, cane in hand, accompanied by live drummers.
The ceremony was deeply emotional. When Temi called Eazi “my oko” (Yoruba for “my husband”), the groom fought back tears. The reception that followed transformed the Otedola residence into a private Nigerian members’ club, complete with 2,300 floating lanterns, chandeliers, lush tropical greenery, Ankara-upholstered booths, and a feast of traditional dishes like pounded yams, snails, and egusi soup.
Later in the evening, the couple honoured Mr Eazi’s late mother’s Delta-Igbo heritage. Temi dazzled in a Lisa Folawiyo akwa ocha ensemble, while Eazi wore a coordinating Mazelle look. The night came alive with electric performances from King Sunny Adé and DJ Eude, keeping guests on their feet until dawn.
For their final celebration, the couple chose a location close to their hearts, Iceland, a place they now call home. The ceremony was held at the striking Hallgrímskirkja Church in Reykjavík, where Temi walked down the aisle in a Fendi Haute Couture gown inspired by Audrey Hepburn, while Eazi looked effortlessly elegant in head-to-toe Saint Laurent.
Their London church pastor officiated the ceremony, describing it as “darkly romantic and natural”, the perfect reflection of the couple’s style and the environment.
The reception was just as breathtaking. Guests dined beneath a glass tent inspired by Iceland’s scenic fields, where moss, fog, volcanic rock, and cascading waterfalls inspired the decor. Temi’s father, Femi Otedola, walked her down the aisle, and dinner was served family-style with dishes from Oto, their favourite Reykjavík restaurant. The highlight of the evening was a surprise private performance by John Legend, secretly arranged by Eazi.
After dinner, the celebration moved underground to the Edition Hotel’s private nightclub, where the energy shifted from elegant to electric. Temi changed into a shimmering Ludovic Saint Sernin mini dress with matching Larroude boots, while Eazi rocked a custom Louis Vuitton jacket. Both wore matching embroidered jackets inscribed with “Love Is Eazi.”
The party did not stop there. Guests headed to Hvammsvik hot springs for an arctic beach after-party under the midnight sun. Between dips in geothermal pools and icy plunges, they indulged in burrata pizza, butter chicken, local Icelandic hot dogs, and other favorites. As the night stretched into morning, the Northern Lights lit up the sky, making a surreal, cinematic end to an unforgettable celebration.
Reflecting on their multi-wedding summer, Temi said, “Eazi and I have always been unconventional. All throughout, we honoured our rich culture but made sure everything felt like us.”
This wasn’t just a wedding; it was a carefully crafted experience that was personal, intentional, and beautifully private. By choosing to release their photos through Vogue Weddings months later, the couple told their story on their own terms. Every ceremony was designed to celebrate heritage, identity, and intimacy, making their wedding one of the most stunning, talked-about events of the year.
